SKIN CARE TIPS: What to do with oily skin

Whether it was in my teens or even now, I always have very oily skin problem. My friends used to make fun of me by saying that I should ask my mum to stop buying cooking oil because I have an oil factory on my face or ask me do not stand too close to the BBQ as your face might catch fire.  -_-''  I will never forget the shock look people have on their faces when they see me use 3 facial oil blotting paper and soak all 3 completely. I use to have bad acne problem last time because I do not know how to take care of my skin properly or control my oily skin problem. However, it is never too late to realize that actually it is still possible to have good skin no matter what if you know how what is the right thing to do with the type of skin you have.

Oily skin tends to attract more dirt than dry skin. It is important to maintain a regular skin care routine to keep the problem from re-occurring.

1. Wash your face at twice a day with a facial cleanser. You can choose to use Cleanser that contains  salicylic acid if your face is extremely oily. Make sure you start singing a song while washing your face as the duration of washing your face should take at least 3 minutes, just nice for the length of an average song. Use your fingers to create a gentle twisting effect with your fingers on your skin. Do not over wash more than 2 times a day as it will cause your skin to be agitated.

2. Use a toner. A toner helps to remove excess oil, tighten your pores and makes pores appear smaller. It also blocks out dirt and controls the oily shine that often, appears by midday.

3. Tighten your pores. Use a clay mask at least once a week or pore tightening serum to minimize pores as people with oily skin tends to have large pores which tends to trap black head and dust. Splashing some cold water or rubbing an ice cube on your face will also help to tighten enlarged pores which often go with oily skin.

4. Moisturize your face with non oil free or gel type moisturizers.

5. Alternate the type of masks you use. This means instead of always or just using the clay mask once a week to force out and remove excess oil on your skin, you should also use moisturizing facial mask once or twice a week to replenish moisture on your skin.

Say goodbye to oily, acne prone skin!

Tea Tree oil kills the skin-dwelling bacteria that caused acne. So you can try using Tea Tree products that might help more. Just be sure your skin is not sensitive to it by testing a little on your neck before full face application.

Here is my stash of Tea Tree products I used regularly myself.
Really really helps me a lot! No more crazy outbreaks on skin
